Proud traditions since 1958

Plastmo was established in Denmark in 1958 and started the company with production and sale of PVC rain gutters and -pipes.

2018

Plastmo has bought all of the stocks in the company SG Railing AS. SG Railing AS is among other things known for delivering glass and aluminum railing solutions in an exclusive design and high quality. The glass railing is now included in Plastmo's range of products within outdoor solutions and rainwater handling.

2017

Shares in Plastmo Polska Sp. z.o.o. are acquired from local partners as part of the strategy to increase sales in central and eastern Europe.

2016

Plastmo A/S introduces a conservatory concept with quality window elements, thermal roof and gutters to the Norwegian market. The solution is supplied in collaboration with Hvidbjerg Vinduet

2015

Plastmo A/S launches a new type of beer cooler for people who want cold beer and water without using electricity or propellants

2014

Plastmo A/S launches SunGlaze roofs, a stylish architectural roofing solution to cover patios, carports, bicycle sheds, entrances etc

2013

Plastmo A/S launches the Plastmo Soakaway in 100% stone wool

2012

Plastmo A/S increases its Nordic focus and establishes the Plastmo Nordic division, which operates in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The Plastmo Nordic division has a turnover of DKK 250 million and 85 employees

Plastmo A/S is awarded Supplier of the Year 2012 by the Timber Merchant Union TUN

Plastmo A/S introduces steelplus gutters with a 25-year guarantee

2011

As of 1 January 2011, ACO Nordic A/S is split into three companies: ACO Nordic Group A/S, ACO Nordic A/S and Plastmo A/S. All three companies remain part of the international ACO Group

2010

Plastmo A/S introduces aluminium zinc gutters

2008

The Swedish activities are joined in Gothenburg. The offices in Malmö and Kalmar are closed

2007

On 15 May, the company changes its name to ACO Nordic A/S

2005

Start of plastic guttering and pipe production in Russia at Ruplast OOO, Moscow

ACO TTM AB in Kalmar, Sweden, is acquired on 1 May

The activities of the representative offices in the Baltic countries are merged in the newly established ACO Plastmo Baltic SIA in Riga, Latvia

2004    

As of 1 January, the assets of Plastmo Profile Sp. z.o.o., Legionowo, Poland, and of Plastmo Spol in the Czech Republic are transferred to ACO Holding. The assets of ACO Drain A/S and ACO Drain AB are transferred to Plastmo A/S. At the same time, the company name changes to ACO Plastmo A/S  

2003

Plastmo Profiles ltd. in the UK is sold to the management as of 1 May

On 1 August, Multi-Lite activities close in Hadsund and are relocated to Thorsvej 10 in Ringsted

2002

Plastmo A/S acquires the skylight activities of Multi-Lite A/S in Hadsund

Plastmo introduces zinc rain gutters

2001

Production of window sections is moved from Ringsted to Plastmo Profile Sp. z o.o., in Legionowo, Poland. DriveDrain – a new line drainage system – is developed for production in Ringsted

Plastmo introduces rain gutters in galvanised steel

1999

The activities of ACO Drain A/S, which is also a subsidiary of the German ACO Group, are relocated from Faaborg to the facilities in Ringsted

ACO Drain A/S markets and sells line drainage products ACO Drain, Self and Stainless

1997

Sales offices are established in Russia, Croatia and the Baltic countries

1996

Sales companies are established in the Czech Republic and Hungary

Plastmo acquires the activities of Swedish panel manufacturer Vinsotén, giving the group a sales company in Finland

1995

The international ACO Group in Rendsburg, Germany, acquires the Plastmo Group. Acquisition of Hvidbjerg Vinduet and its subsidiary, Isolar

1994

Start of production in Poland of rain gutters and window sections

1992

Establishment of Plastmo Polska together with 3 Polish partners for the sale of gutters

1989

Plastmo acquires the Everlite Group, which manufactures light panels, roof light domes and panels for the building industry

1988

The Plastmo Group changes ownership when the management and a number of investors acquire the companies in the group

1987

Production facilities in Ringsted are continually expanded, and now cover about 30,000 m2

1984

Plastmo Group is listed on the stock exchange

Plastmo Profiles Ltd is established in Northampton, England.

Establishment of Plastmo AS in Slemmestad, Norway

1963

Establishment of AB Plastmo in Malmo, Sweden

Rain gutter production facilities move to Ringsted

Sale of rain gutters starts

Development of the Plastmo rain gutter begins

1958

The company is founded by wholesaler Knud Harbom, trading under the name of A/S Plastmontage from Knarreborgvej 11 in Kastrup.
